One early morning, as I was photographing by the river and completely absorbed in capturing the beauty of a mallard, I suddenly heard some strange sounds. I turned around and was happy to discover a common goldeneye performing a courtship display. The male goldeneye circled the female with grace, twisting his head into peculiar positions and casting her flirtatious glances that seemed to say, “Look at me!”. Though the male didn’t succeed that day, I was fortunate to capture this image in the soft morning light.
